The Science of Self-Disruption
As globalisation intensifies, it is becoming an imperative for policy makers to develop a means for their economies and to become better integrated in the global context -- promoting international cooperation in science, technology and innovation. In today’s digital age, simply meeting a customer’s needs is not enough to compete in a world of constant disruption and change. Leaders will need to go the extra mile and harness the power of technology to maximise their impact on citizens and communities across the globe. How is the rise in emerging technologies tackling some of the large-scale systemic challenges in Asia? What steps are policy makers taking to improve regulation and ensure all benefit equally from these new advances? Where are we seeing positive results from investing in self-disruptive initiatives? This FT Digital Dialogue, organised in partnership with Philip Morris International, will discuss how to self-disrupt through enterprise innovation and debate the role of science in strategic change and public policy making.
